Quarter Finals!

Hey guys ! :D  This is my new blog  about cricket! I really love cricket and all the players ( esp my crushes ) :P . I really don't know what i would do without it! So , for those of you who have been following the  ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 , I am going to start covering the Quarter Finals .  The first one : Sri Lanka vs South Africa . South Africa entered  into this game under a lot of  pressure , never have won  a  knockout  game in a world  cup before , you could sense the  nervous energy , but the first catch by Quentin De Cock released a bit of that nervous energy! Sri Lanka were not really  at the top of their game ..therefore , the game wasn't  as close as you would have expected .. excellent  bowling and fielding by the south africans .. bit of  a poor show put up by Sri Lanka . It's goig to be hard to let the legends go, isn't it ??  But unfortunately this is the end For Sangakkara and Jayawardene. Now moving onto the next quarter final  . India vs Bangladesh! Bangladesh was one of the teams which were  considered  weakling . They proved  everyone wrong by beating England . For a while there in the first innings , India were  under pressure  , having lost 3 wickets for not a lot  of runs! Rohit Sharma  played a brilliant Innings  , well supported by Suresh Raina and got India to 302 :) Bangladesh were under pressure  and they cracked . once again , the Indian bowlers have proved their worth , having bowled out the opposition 7 times! (  hopefully  that helps us win against Aus ) . Coming into this world cup , everyone  was worried about the bowling , this tournament  so far has been quite a surprise. One the  Third one : Australia Vs Pakistan , i suppose  many  fans would have wanted Pak to win as India has never lost to them , but i would  beg to differ. Pakistan's batting never really clicked and once again the aussie  bowlers were at the top of their game to restrict Pak to only 213. It wasn't a walk over for the aussie  batsmen! David  Warner played well for his part , but didn't stay long. Aaron Finch never really  got clicking , was a bit of a surprising referral by him. Steven Smith's innings really held the innings together! Now comes the really interesting part  for all those of you lucky ones who saw the  Wahab vs Watson combat , you must say it was quite the battle!  Wahab bowled incredibly , a spell that could have  changed the game . Shane  Watson did a great job hanging in there , couldn't have been easy with the intensity and the emotions.Wahab bowled a lot of short balls , Shane Watson  couldn't find a way out of them , when he finally did make a mistake , the catch was dropped , that was the moment!! Once his spell got over , the  aussies  settled  in nicely :)  Steve Smith played really  well for his 65 . The game was carried home by Glenn Maxwell ( 44*) , who played a couple of shots , which i think took us all by surprise! He's managed to come up with a name for that particular shot , for those who are interested , see his twitter handle ! and Shae Watson (64*) who managed to take a bit of revenge  on Wahab ! It was a great game of cricket and i look forward to tomorrow's quarter final and for the Semis . The second semi final next Thursday between the defending champions and the aussies is going to be a cracker. I would advise not leaving the Tv set :P unfortunately , i have my last board that day , and  will not be able to catch the first part!!

Looking forward to writing my next post in a few days time ! :)
